“…Mobile enterprise app stores will become more central as time passes. “People are waking up to the need to build solutions that are multifunctional and intuitive for end users,” said Ken Singer, the CEO and co-founder of AppCentral, a provider of mobile enterprise app stores. “Companies are exploring mobile apps and recognize the need for a sub-state that provides information on who is using the apps, who is downloading them. This allows them to pull out data and compute ROI. I think it’s a recognition that mobile is here to stay.”

Managing Enterprise Mobile Apps in the Cloud: Case Studies & Best Practices
Let’s face it – most people have their smartphones glued to their hands and are constantly checking email, Facebook and other apps. In the new era of “BYOD”, enterprise IT managers must efficiently and securely manage corporate apps without affecting the personal data that’s simultaneously streaming along with corporate data. As the cloud moves to employee-owned devices, IT needs to learn how to manage app data stored in the cloud and understand its impact on proprietary information. During this session, AppCentral’s CEO will share case studies and best practices for developing, managing and distributing enterprise apps in the cloud.
Speaker Bio:
Ken Singer is the CEO and co-founder of AppCentral. He has spent his entire career in the mobile industry in various executive, product management and sales roles.
Singer is a faculty member of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology as an Industry Fellow and teaches the Mobile Applications and Entrepreneurship Course IEOR 190E at the University of California, Berkeley.
