    Questions About the Service

Is any special client software required?
No. Most web browsers integrate with Java, which allows you to use our service without installing any additional software. This means that you can access your account from almost any internet connected computer! For improved performance with some printers, you do have the option to install the AppCentral client.

Can I use my local email client to access my AppCentral Exchange Hosted email?
This feature is currently not supported. To access your AppCentral Exchange Hosted email, you must either login to your AppCentral account, or use Outlook Web Access at https://mail.AppCentral.com.

Can I access data and files from my local computer?
Our software automatically maps the drives from your local computer so that your data is available in the AppCentral portal. You will have the option to select the level of drive mapping when you login to AppCentral, and you can then move files back and forth as you wish.

Will I be able to print?
Yes. Printing from AppCentral is as simple and fast as printing at your home or office. If you can print from your local PC, you can print from AppCentral applications.

Are my data and files backed up?
Exchange email and your data files are backed up twice daily and stored for 30 days.

Is my data safe from hackers and viruses?
AppCentral uses state of the art security technology to protect your data. All activities and files are constantly monitored for malicious activity, so your data is guaranteed safe. What about Spam?
AppCentral Exchange email accounts are protected by a state of the art spam filtering system to prevent your mailbox from filling up with junk. If you are using a POP3 mail account, your POP3 email provider is responsible for filtering spam from your mailbox.

Can I install my own software on the system?
No. Installation of personal software is not permitted. If there is high demand for a certain application, we will integrate it into the portal.

Can I share my AppCentral account?
You may share your account with colleagues or family, but only one login per account can be active at once. Our system is constantly monitored for abuse of accounts.
